midi - Any MIDI 1.0 controller, bound in one kdl file, learned on the spot, with connection states reported as they are.
The pane lists every binding and every LED rule the preset holds. Learn reassigns on the next control you move. Save writes the live mapping back into the preset file and keeps a backup of the old one. When nothing changed, Save refuses. When the write fails, the file and the live mapping stay untouched. Retry checks the preset again and reconnects by the exact port names. The preset is plain KDL text: a new controller joins with a new file, and what Learn writes is what you can read back.
A missing input stays recoverable. An unavailable output keeps input control and says what is missing: the LEDs stop, the buttons keep working. Mapping buttons act on press only. A mapped cue toggles headphone monitoring. Relative controls step in fixed amounts. The sync LED does what the sync word on the deck strip does: it names the state you would otherwise wait for.
