COLLIER-CLI(1) library tooling COLLIER-CLI(1)

collier-cli - The same library on the command line: analyse it, repair it, file it, ask it questions.

Analysis
one child process per file. A malformed file ruins itself, never the run
Jobs
the default is a memory bound, not a core count. 256 is the ceiling
Watch
--tui shows a full-screen progress view. Piped output falls back to progress lines
Repair
genre and label from Discogs, one lookup per album group. Covers come from the folder
File
moves into label/artist/album. -n previews, and collier refuses existing destinations

Given paths, it walks them for audio. Fourteen extensions count, case-insensitive. Tempo and key come from the same pipeline the window uses. Results land in the same LMDB database that collier reads. A track analysed on the command line is in the library, with no import step.

-t also writes the detected values into the files themselves, as BPM and INITIALKEY tags. --with-waveform builds the durable waveform cache, and -f re-analyses files that already carry the tags.

The window's tag editor edits the same ground on one track at a time. It writes nine fields per track: artist, title, track number, BPM, key, album, album artist, label and genre. Covers attach in place there.

--query takes an exact key, --artist, --label and --key take prefixes, --bpm-min with --bpm-max takes a range, and -l lists oldest first. All of these queries read secondary indexes instead of scanning. -S is the one full scan: a regular expression over each record's key, artist, title, musical key and tempo.

--dump-mood analyses named files and prints energy, danceability, tempo, key and path as columns. --dump-library-snapshot writes a read-only snapshot of the whole library, for a backup or a move.
